Migrant/Seasonal Head Start |

Child Development Inc. provides Head Start services to Migrant and Seasonal farm workers as a delegate agency to Community Action Program for Central Arkansas (CAPCA). These services are provided in Desha and Lonoke Counties. In order to enroll in these programs at least 51% of a family’s income must be from agricultural activities and families must meet the Federal Poverty Guidlines (http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/09poverty.shtml).
The program serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. For more information, visit the Locations tab on the homepage.
The migrant program is designed to accommodate families who have moved within the last 24 months to follow the crops while the seasonal slots are for families who have "settled out."
